EWC was founded by Er. Edward E Woo in1973 to provide Mechanical & Electrical Engineering consultancy services. In year 2010, the firm was rebranded to EWC Engineers Pte. Ltd.
We aim to provide its clients with professional services that can achieve an appropriate balance between design, environment and cost consideration.
We are registered with Professional Engineers Board Singapore and listed in BCA Public Sector Panels of Consultants ME 02.
Our Founders
Er. Edward E Woo
Edward E. Woo Consultants Pte Ltd was founded by Er. Edward in December 1973.
In 1962, after graduating from University of California, Los Angeles and prior to founding of Edward E. Woo Consultants Pte Ltd, Er. Edward Woo was working in Carrier Air-Conditioning as a design engineer, involved in design & development of electrical components for control/distribution panels.
In 1971, Er. Edward Woo became actively involved in Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES) and the launching of Professional Engineers Board (PEB). As IES’s full graduate member, he was also undertaking the role of part time lecturer, involved in giving lecturers to the earlier few batches of polytechnic students. During this period, Er. Edward Woo had managed to obtain his Professional Engineer Practicing Certificate in July 1971, and has subsequently founded Edward E. Woo Consultants Pte Ltd in Dec 1973.
In the initial years, Edward E. Woo Consultants was primarily involved in electrical licensing works including authority submissions and switching works. As the the engineering and construction industry develops over the years, Edward E. Woo Consultants’ focus also develop to provide full ranges of M&E consultancy services.
After rebranding of Edward E. Woo Consultants to EWC in 2010, Er. Edward Woo is still involved in EWC’s operation, mainly involved in providing guidance and advising the younger generations.
